Kymi is a small town built amphitheatrically on a evergreen hill, offering majestic view at the ocean, for that reason Kymi took her call-name “Agean balcony”.

Only 91 km NE Chalkida away, Kymi offers frequent transports for either Chalkida to Athens. Kymi's port (one of the greater of Greece) connects the island of Evia to Skyros.

 
 

Kymi is known for its silk and its distanced, unique, architecture called “Koumiotiki”. Stone-Built Houses, flight of stairs and alleys are the marvels of the Town of Kymi.

Museums
Folklore Museum: Founded at 1981 it resides in a two stories high Classical Building . The numerous exhibits represent the weaving, the needlepoint art, the attire, the pottery and the Folklore painting art. Distinguish the known Kymis Silken, St. Nectarios garments, the uniforms of the soldiers who participated at the Balkan Wars, the Relica of DR. George Papanikolaou.

Beaches
At Soutsini, Kymi beach, with the rough Caves who are the best for underwater fishing sports. At Stomio and a bit further at the Beached of Hiliadou, at Hili.
